- Favourite race (and why)
Great North Run – First one back after 25 Year break and also ran first ever GNR in 1981 as a 19 year old student – I also hail from the North East
- My pet hate in running...
Only one and that is people who put down unrealistic times to get to front and then impede other runners – I have no problem with all runners but we all should run in the group at our pace
- What I love most about running...
The open air – the relaxation that it gives me to be outside running in all weather – the commaradiary of fellow runners
- My best piece of running advice...
Train well, know your pace and do not try to push it too hard at the start – we all have and have all paid for it.
- Why you should follow me as a pacer...
I am very good on even splits and I do not mind talking if needed whilst running if it helps anyone. I can happily keep an even pace and much prefer to run that way. I have just paced my daughter to her goal of a sub 4:30 in this years London marathon, this being her first marathon. Unbelievably for a first timer her mile splits were all within 10 seconds of each other apart from the last 2 miles where she went quicker.
- No one knows that I...
am about to start a new online running magazine/blog which will be very beneficial to the newer runners – not too much jargon
